Do You Have Bad Back Pain?
If you are like most people, then you suffer from the common infliction of back pain. Most of us aren’t rich and cannot afford to pay for expensive surgeries. So what can anybody do besides take medicine for the rest of their lives?
Here are a few things that you can do to help ease your back pain.
Apply an ice or heat pack to your back. If you have suddenly experienced back pain, then in the first 48 hours use ice. Set an ice pack on the area for 10 minutes, take it off for 10, and then repeat that process 2 more times. After 48 hours do the same if pain is still present, but intersperse the ice with heat for 10 minutes and finish with 10 minutes of heat. Pain will slowly fade if you do this.
Stretching your muscles can help alleviate pain. The most common causes of back ache is related to tight muscles. Stretching is an ideal way to ease their tension. But stretch the muscle gently. If you stretch too roughly, then you might hurt yourself more. Only stretch the joint till you hit the point where the muscle gets tight and not painful. If you stretch the muscles too tight, you will end up with a tight muscle after you release the stretch hold. Being as gentle as possible is key!
Strengthen the muscles in your back. Where there is a tight muscle, there is an opposite weak one. If you stretch only the tight muscles, it will not create balance. You are going to have to improve the nerve and blood supply to the weak muscles.
